Course Information

Introduction

This is a program designed for managers and executives who want to learn the skills and knowledge needed to lead exceptional teams of individuals into the 21st Century.
This is an Effective Leadership program that will turn some of your beliefs regarding management upside down.
This program is not about the science of management; it is about The Art of Leadership.
The LEADERS Workshop: Communication, Innovation, and Vision includes critical concepts regarding effective communication the relationship of creativity and vision to building an environment that leads to innovation, so necessary for continued success in the 21st Century.
The knowledge presented is central to this skill-based seminar designed to teach you some of the essentials of Effective Leadership.
The program covers the critical concepts of communication and innovation essential for creating and leading exceptional teams.
It is the Effective Leader who is able to take a group of normal people, and create a diverse team of exceptional individuals.
This is done through the effective practice of simple, elegant principles that make up the Art of Leadership.
This is the dichotomy:
While the principles are simple and elegant, they are extremely difficult to implement.
This is because they often seem counter to accepted management practices.
This is where we introduce the tightly held secrets of important leaders throughout the ages.
These secrets include:
Using effective communication skills to identify and hire the right people; build an exceptional team; and inspire and motivate exceptional individuals.
In addition, the power of intuition and insight, and the potential in surprises (good and bad) are discussed as they relate to creating an organization that is innovative, a quality essential for success in the 21st Century.
This seminar is truly leading edge; to get the value you must come with an open mind, ready and willing to hear about these “new concepts” that are actually very old.
Most of the important revelations can be found in classics that have come down through the ages.

Objectives

An interest in Effective Leadership is the first step to answering the question:
What accounts for the varying degrees of effectiveness among managers?
Part of poor performance is a failure to recognize alternative strategies for becoming an Effective Leader, like conflict resolution and problem solving, effective delegation and communications, can do and openness, and most important, trust and respect.
Another “issue” is in the lack of insight into how behaviours impact relationships and bottom-line results. An important first step in rectifying this lack of insight is to learn exactly what Effective Leadership looks like in the day-to-day managerial role.
This model can then be compared with other kinds of management to help managers think about themselves and "how" they work with and through others to achieve results.
This program presents actual case studies and examples, where participants learn the characteristics and power of Effective Leadership.
